Your PDF file is processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology. The file never uploads to our servers.

We Do Not Store Your Files

We never receive, store, or have access to your PDF files. Only a small password hash (encrypted metadata) is sent to our server for password recovery.

We Cannot See Your Passwords

We extract only the password hash (a small piece of encrypted data needed to test passwords). Your document content, text, and images remain completely private on your device.

Open Source & Transparent

Our code is open source and available for review. You can inspect exactly what we do with your data and verify our privacy claims yourself.

How We Protect Your Privacy

You Upload → Processing Happens in Your Browser

When you select a PDF file, it's loaded into your browser's memory. Using WebAssembly technology, we extract only the password hash—a small encrypted piece of data needed to verify password attempts.

Only the Hash is Sent → Never Your File

The password hash (typically just a few hundred bytes) is sent to our server. This hash contains no document content—it's just the encrypted data needed to test password combinations. Your actual PDF file never leaves your computer.

Server Attempts Password Recovery

Our server uses the hash to test password combinations based on your parameters (length, character types, etc.). If a match is found, we send back only the recovered password.

You Receive the Password

If successful, the password is displayed in your browser. You can then use it to open your PDF in any PDF reader. The password is never stored or logged on our servers.

Additional Information

No Account Required

We don't require you to create an account or provide any personal information. Simply upload your PDF and start the recovery process.

No Tracking or Analytics on Your Files

While we use basic analytics to improve our service (like page views), we never track or analyze the files you upload or their content.

Secure Connection

All communication between your browser and our server uses HTTPS encryption, ensuring that even the password hash is transmitted securely.
